I want to stress that I do not work alone. I am always working with teachers, angels or guides on the other side. At times I calm the ghosts down and talk to them, sometimes I have to convince them that there is something better to move on to and sometimes I serve as a witness to their stories.

Each ghost and story is unique and I continue to record them with the hope of someday publishing a collection of true ghost stories. I am indebted to these souls who have endured so much and are willing to share a small part of their history with me.

The following are true ghost stories. I hope they will give you a feel for the way I work and some of the situations I have encountered.

"Your house doesn’t have to go bump in the night!"

Several years ago I bought a small house on the West Coast. My house was a simple affair consisting of two bedrooms on the north end, a small bathroom, and a modest sized kitchen and living room. I quickly learned one bedroom was very cold but attributed it to the fact it was on the north end of the house. My second bedroom was too but it never felt as cold as the first one but I couldn't solve the puzzle and just lived with it.

I moved in April and the back yard was overgrown with blackberry bushes which I was methodically removing every time I worked outside. I had been gardening in my backyard one afternoon when I turned and saw a woman looking back at me from a bedroom window. She wore a housedress and appeared as a solid white silhouette. I froze and couldn't draw a breath. Every hair on my body stood on end as no one lived there but me or at least that's what I had thought. After much self-coaxing and calming myself down I knew I would eventually have to go inside regardless of how frightened I was.

I met with Bonnie Quino at 10:00 AM Friday morning. Bonnie is a student at a local university and a friend had referred her.

Bonnie and I sat on the living room sofa as I listened to her story about the spirit she felt was in her two bedroom apartment. She described waking up several times in the morning with a feeling someone had forcefully thrown water on the side of her face. At first she shrugged it off to early morning sleepiness but then the same thing occurred again.

Eventually she mentioned it to her husband, Albert, and he said he'd experienced the same thing. He went as far as to check the ceiling and walls for any water leaks.

Bonnie had decided to take things into her own hands and had tried to clear the room with smudging and prayer. It didn't seem to help. It felt too creepy to sleep in the bedroom any longer so she and her husband moved to the second bedroom across the hall.

Richard was polite and entered through the front door. It wasn't until my cat, Jezabel, had set up straight on my lap starring that I noticed the white mist gathered around the floor lamp. I soothed Jezabel by saying, "So we have a visitor. We'll talk to him in the morning."

The next morning I began my meditation and asked for the person to come forward. In my mind's eye, I could see a young, muscular, handsome African America man. I guess he was around 25.

I greeted him with a "Hello, my name is Sandra" even though I saw he was upset. (I try to be as respectful of the ghost as I am of my client.)

"I'm so stupid. I'm so stupid. I'm so stupid," he repeated with anger. "I'm so stupid. I'm so stupid. I can't believe how stupid I am!"

I interrupted him and asked what his name was.

"Richard", he said and began to pace and wave his arms about.

Steven was a shipyard worker in California. He painted ships. He was a surprise to me because when I spoke with him, he was not in the least bit upset or concerned about anything. I asked him how he had died and I saw his story unfold.

At the time of his death I saw him dressed in a matching shirt and pants work outfit and he was painting from a platform level with the upper side of a ship. He fell from the area he was painting, hit the deck below and died instantly. (I think it was from a broken neck or severe head injury.) I felt he had been painting a Navy ship because I had the strong impression of gray paint and white lettering.

"What have you been doing since you died and knew you were living on this side?" (When I am talking to ghosts, I'm in a meditative state and a part of me functions on the other side when I talk with my visitors.)

Pearl was an adult woman who came to me. Her husband had died in the 1940's leaving Pearl and her daughter alone. She and her daughter were welcomed with open arms into the home of her father-in-law. Her mother-in-law had died before she married.

Pearl's bond with her daughter was wonderful and loving. I saw pictures of the two of them playing, laughing and of Pearl gently tickling her lovely little girl.

It was also obvious that the father-in-law was very jealous of their bond and began to stand between the two of them making their lives miserable. At some point he raped the young daughter in an attempt to destroy the love between mother and child. It didn't work but changed the girl and mother's lives dramatically. I had many questions for Pearl but the way Pearl communicated her story was through a series of black and white pictures and I was only an observer.

I spoke with Edward this morning but did not get a lot of information. He was very frightened so I acted quickly as I thought he was going to run away. If he did, I feared it would be a long time before he'd come back.

He was very frightened because he didn't know what to expect when he passed over. He hadn't gone to heaven and didn't recognize where he was. How he ended up in my home I don't know but I'm glad he did.

I got his name but when I began to ask questions, he began to pull away from me. I asked him if he would be afraid to go to a wedding. (I said this hoping to plant a seed about being with a group of people in happy circumstances.)

Several years ago I bought a home on the outskirts of Seattle.  It was a small ranch with three bedrooms, a small bathroom, and a modest sized kitchen and living room.  I loved the house but quickly discovered one bedroom was very cold.  I thought it was because it was on the north end of the house away from the sun. 

I moved into the home in April eager to start gardening, a prime motivator for buying the house.  One afternoon I was gardening in the backyard and turned towards the house.  Looking back at me was a woman - starring from the bedroom window.  She wore a housedress and appeared as a three-dimension white apparition.  I froze and couldn't draw a breath.  Every hair on my body stood on end.  No one lived there but me or at least that's what I had thought.  As I stared at the woman in the window, the image faded.

Moving very slowly, I put my tools away in the shed and walked around the house to the side door.  My body was wet with perspiration and cold with fear, but I was determined that nothing was going to keep me from living in my new home.  Nothing was going to drive me out.

I entered my home through the living room.  The air was cold and a white mist was suspended throughout the room.  I walked through the clammy mist into the brightly-lit kitchen seeking warmth and comfort from the sunshine.  With firm resolve and as calmly as I could, I told the spirit that I knew she was there and asked what her name was. 

"LeeAnn," a voice yelled into my ear.

I usually step back this time of the year to review my goals for the preceding year and make new ones for the year ahead.  One category I scrutinize carefully is my finances but this year I had a reminder from some company to look at my spiritual wealth as well.

In 2005 I opened a business called Energy Matters.  As a psychic, I facilitate ghost rescues (ghost removals).  It’s a process that helps souls complete the transition they weren’t able to finish on their own for many different reasons.  It’s been a wonderful gift to me as I share a very special time with the one about to cross over and those who come to assist and greet them.

On Thanksgiving Eve 2007, there was a loud thud on my front door.  I didn’t bother going to see if it was a neighbor or other guest.  I knew from experience that it was a spirit, someone stopping in to chat.  I quietly asked the soul to come back the next morning so we could visit during my meditation time and then I went about my business.

The next day a man appeared in my meditation.  I asked if he was a ghost and if he needed help moving on.  He said “No.”  He had just come to talk.

I felt a deep, sad energy about him.  He explained it was because he was going to have to come back to Earth.  He wasn’t dreading it but he was sad because he would have to leave where he currently lived and enter a life here that would be much more difficult.  He was fearful of the wars, poverty, illness and inhumanity that can threaten to overwhelm any of us on any given day.  When I asked him why he came to see me, he replied he was trying to ‘keep his toes in the water’ so it wouldn’t be such a shock to his system to come back here.

I understood what he meant.  Just reading the newspaper can make me cry.  “How about looking at things through a different perspective?”  I asked.

I began to talk about the opportunity each one of us is given at birth.  We have the capacity to bring the wonderful love that we are into the world.  Each day we have the opportunity to be kind and encouraging.  We can comfort others, be a good listener or just give another person a smile.  We honor people when we respect them and we make life good when we love them.
